Memory of the City
/ Mitsuhiro Wada Photo Exhibition.

New exhibition "Memory of the City" started with the idea of cutting out the memory of "the City". In Towada City, one of the famous sites in Japan and which concentrates people's attention with Towada Lake and Oirase Stream, has been exhibiting photos or painting with the theme "Big Nature".

Now, new exhibition is focused on the central / urban area of the city and the people's life or ordinary living, chase time and space by photos. Buildings and alleys which fit in the city, festivals and events that shows history, pile of snow in winter, people spend time in summer with thick growing plants, every landscape of the photo show you the aspect in daily life.
Current improvement of the city and past city we have lost already, the photos will show you both present and past landscape at the same time. We will be happy if you may be able to recall your memories, crossover the images and feel the wave of "the memory" which will lead you to the future. Furthermore, we want you to rediscover the fascination of the city that half of population live and make their social life.

Photos which make up the exhibition are taken by the most famous Photographer in Towada City, Mitsuhiro Wada. It contains photos he had prepared for this exhibition or other precious photos he had taken past years and stored for a long time. We hope photos at the exhibition will go beyond "ordinary art work", become one of the valuable segment to connect memory of "People and the City" to the next generation and leave a mark on people's mind.
